This gland is recommended for use in areas where high water pressure promotes leakage of water in which in turn causes rapid chuck wear by washing away the lubricating oil. This gland automatically restricts the pressure of the water passed into the water tube to 75% of the airline pressure at the drill back head. The gland is not recommended for water pressure above 500psi.
